Canadian Immigration : Humanitarian and Compassionate cases

Usually, a foreign national applies for permanent residence in Canada in their home country or country of habitual residence as the case may be.

Any foreign national who is otherwise inadmissible to apply for permanent residence in Canada or does not meet the requirements of the Immigration or Refugee Act or Regulations may make a written request based on humanitarian and compassionate (H&C) grounds to apply from within Canada .

Through this application, the applicants also asks for exemption to apply for permanent residence from within Canada stating why applicant cannot apply from their home country and explains why he/she should be granted PR status from within Canada.

The preparation of an H&C case is recommended to be completed under professional help.
